Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council Case Study
The relocation of vulnerable tenants or those in crisis who require welfare housing. The tenants may have special needs or circumstances. These could range from having physical and mental disabilities to rehoming victims of domestic violence, sheltered housing and emergency housing. The size of the properties varies from one room dwellings to 3 or 4 bedroom houses. The main aspects of these moves are that they are always to be undertaken swiftly and compassionately.
Depending on our clients requirements we would either take instructions directly from them regarding the individual to be relocated or contact their tenant directly to ascertain their bespoke requirements. Research has shown that moving is usually quite stressful. With this in mind, it is imperative that we approach our client’s tenants reassuringly, with care and respect.
Firstly we would take a comprehensive inventory of all items to be relocated or stored and the type of the property that they are moving from and too. Also we would take the time to listen to their queries and provide adequate solutions. We could also perform a site visit to ascertain the requirements for larger moves or those considered to have a degree of complexity.
We then assign an experienced team who specialize in domestic removals to organize and complete the individual’s relocation within time constraints. Our team are also experienced in dealing with the needs of disabled clients, venerable clients or those that are currently in a difficult situation.
