Client Requirements

To pack, wrap, load and deliver over 4,500 cubic feet’s worth of antique furniture and personal effects.

To provide inventories for all items stored, as well as a comprehensive labelling system.

To ensure that there was no damage to items or to the fabric of the historic building.

To ensure that the new house was habitable and unpacked by Monday morning.

Project Solution

There was a single point of contact for managing the team on site. The project manager ensured effective communication between the team and client to ensure that the client’s needs were met.

The operations team at the office maintained the team and responded to issues which could not be managed on site and ensured that the team were legally compliant throughout the project in terms of tachograph hours and working hours. Whilst the Project Manager maintained management on site, the operations team managed the resources and off site work.

Project Feedback

The project was measured by the key milestone of being able to occupy the building by Monday. This was achieved with time to spare, finishing on the Sunday evening.

The cost of the move was within initial budgets provided on an urgently defined outline scope of work.

As a result we have an ongoing working relationship with the Office of David Cameron.

The team managed to ensure that all items were delivered to the correct locations.
