NHS – Hertfordshire
The National Health Service, Hertfordshire, required a full relocation of a ward and offices to another hospital. Originally it was planned to do the relocation over a weekend but after a sit down with our project manager, the NHS realised that it would be impossible for them to operate any section of the ward if the relocation was over 3 days. Therefore, both parties decided that doing the main move over phases would produce a much better result for the NHS.
Our Prince2 Project Manager liaised with the NHS about what items / equipment they needed promptly at the delivery point. He then relayed all the info to the team. The team export wrapped many high value items and were also responsible for disassembling and reassembling the furniture. When the specialist equipment was being relocated, SBM staff took a comprehensive inventory of the conditions of the equipment, took photos of any pre-existing damage and signed off each product with a delegate of the NHS.
